There are many different terminologies for the things found in space. Here are some examples of different things found in space.

planets
A very large, round object that orbits a star.

asteroid
Small bodies of iron and rock floating in space.

black hole
A black hole is a super dense "object" in space that is sometimes created from a supernova. All surrounding objects are pulled towards the black hole because of it's super strong gravity.

meteor
When a meteoroid, a small object in space, enters Earth's atmosphere, it is called a meteor.

meteorite
Bits of iron and rock that are left over from the meteor after impacting with the Earth's surface.

meteoroid
Any small object in space that has not yet entered Earth's atmosphere.

crater
A large hole in the surface when a meteor strikes the surface of a planet.

comet
Comets are balls of ice and gas that orbit around stars. When they get close to the sun, they melt and form a "tail."

nebula
A nebula is a collection of gases released from stars when they die. They are also the birth place of new stars.

dwarf
Something that is smaller than usual. A dwarf star is a very small star.
