It stimulates our senses with bright colours, dances, and art. You might see a myriad of skeletons and sugar skulls. The sugar skulls are elaborately decorated with many colours. They show the happy times we had with someone we lost. It is a momentous day to think about relatives who are no longer around.
People can listen to music and dance. Many people in Mexico take part in this festival. People will wear masks and costumes. Many people will paint their faces to look like sugar skulls. You can wear a fancy dress too. There are special treats for this day. You might see cookies with sprinkles, yum!

Tango no Sekku is another festival that is on March 5th. Families hang kites outside their homes. Each kite is shaped like a carp, which is a kind of fish. The carp shows that the children will grow up to be strong and brave. Shichi-Go-San is on November 15th. It is a festival for boys aged three or five, and girls aged three or seven. Children wear traditional clothing, and they get treats from adults.
India celebrates Children's Day on November 14th. The children still have to go to school on this day, but there are no classes. Children play fun games at school. The children might get gifts from their parents too.
