description Exercise
Dinosaurs are extinct. There are no dinosaurs now. They lived long ago. They vanished 65 million years ago. That is a long time ago.
Why did they vanish? Was it a comet? Was it a volcano? Was it the weather? We don't know.
This is a comet. It is a big rock. We see comets in space. Maybe there was a comet crash.
The comet made a big hole. The comet made a lot of dust. The dust covered the sky. You could not see the sun. The plants could not see the sun. The plants did not grow. Food was scarce. It was not easy to find. The dinosaurs did not eat. The dinosaurs became extinct.
This is a volcano. It is a big mountain. It can erupt.
Maybe there was a big volcano. The volcano erupted. The volcano made a lot of dust. The volcano made it dark. The sun did not shine. The plants did not grow. Food was scarce. The dinosaurs did not eat. The dinosaurs became extinct.
Maybe the weather changed. It was hot before. The weather got cold. Dinosaurs didn't like the cold. Plants did not like the cold. Plants did not grow. Food was scarce. The dinosaurs did not eat. The dinosaurs became extinct.
What happened to the dinosaurs? We think it was a comet. We think it was a volcano, too. We think it was cold weather, too. We don't really know.
