Humans have made art for thousands of years. The arts include anything humans do that is creative. There are lots of different types of art. There is sure to be one for everybody!
Visual art is a popular type of art. It is art that we look at. It is art that looks nice.
Fine art is a type of visual art. It is art that does not have a job. It is only to look nice.
A painting is fine art. A sculpture is fine art. A drawing is fine art.
Ceramic art is a type of visual art. But it is different from fine art. It has a purpose.
Ceramic art is made from materials like clay. A plate is ceramic art. A bowl is ceramic art. A vase is ceramic art.
Most people cook to eat. But some people cook to make art. Art with food is called culinary art.
Culinary artists make food look as nice as possible. They use lots of colours and textures. They try to make the food as nice to look at as it is to eat.
Chefs are artists. They train for many years to learn how to make food look good.
Writers are artists too. They create literary art. This type of art includes anything with words and language.
A poem is a type of art. A novel is a type of art. A play is a type of art.
Performing arts is a fun type of art. It includes art that is performed for an audience. Lots of performing art takes place in a theatre.
A drama is a type of art. It tells a story.
An opera is a type of art. It tells a story too. But it also includes lots of singing.
