In Unit 12, we are focusing on the various beliefs and practices of the different peoples of the world. Some examples of this come in the form of religious and non-religious festivals, myths and legends, and gifting practices.
As a writing focus of Unit 12, you are to research and prepare a presentation about a topic of your choosing; however, it must of course be related to the theme of the unit.
- You are to prepare your presentation using the templates in the exercise link.
- The templates should contain the headings of your slides, bullet points, and what you are actually going to say in your presentation.
- When your teacher has checked your templates, transfer the headings and bullet points to your presentation document. Transfer what you are going to say in your presentation to a smartphone, tablet, laptop, or cue cards - whatever you are most comfortable with for your presentation.
- Please use the Google Docs Presentation app by clicking File, then New above. Share it with your teacher when ready to present.
- In presentations, you should always focus on what your audience can understand. As such, keep in mind vocabulary, special terms, and expressions that you may need to teach your classmates.
