Noun clauses with a relative pronoun as the subject and those as the object are studied. 7-2 Noun Clauses with Whether, If, and ThatStudents continue practicing embedding questions in sentences in the form of noun clauses, but in Grammar 7-2, the focus is the usage of if and whether for yes or no questions. Students also practice the use of that when changing a statement to a noun clause. 7-3 Quoted SpeechStudents practice how to quote one or more sentences, questions, and exclamations. 7-4 Reported SpeechStudents practice when and when not to backshift, reported commands and requests, and how to change time expressions when reporting speech. |
