Discuss the following warm-up questions:
- What is your favorite place to travel?
- If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
- Tell the class about your best vacation ever.
Work in a group of 2-4 students.
- Open this link: USA Today Travel
- Choose an article to read
- After you choose a story, check with your teacher to make sure it is appropriate.
- Begin reading the news story with each other. When you come to a word that is unfamiliar, write it down in the course vocabulary document (your teacher will share the document with you). You will define these words later.
- When you are finished, you will read the story again with the rest of the class, and define the vocabulary words.
