Extreme sports are often considered to be high-risk for injuries and death.
One example would be free solo rock-climbing. Usually, a rock climber scales the sides of a mountain with different types of ropes and harnesses to make sure that if they slip, they won't fall to their death.
However, a free solo rock-climber does not use these preventative measures. They climb mountains relying on the strength of their arms and legs only!
Another example of an extreme sport would be mountain biking. Mountain bikers travel through areas with steep and rough terrain. They also perform tricks in mid-jump, which leave a high risk for accidents!
Practice reading those sentences aloud and record your voice or say the sentences out to your class.
