There are many fables from a long time ago that are still popular today.
For this unit's project, you will choose a story from a long time ago and make a modern version of it! You can choose a fable, fairy tale, myth, or other story that you know. For example:
- The Tortoise and the Hare: Instead of using animals to tell the story, you could tell it using a driver and a walker.
- Cinderella: Instead of Cinderella losing her shoe and waiting for the Prince, she can get a new pair for herself at a store.
- The Boy Who Cried Wolf: Instead of the boy crying wolf, the boy can pretend to be sick so that he does not have to go to school.
Once you have chosen a story, write your modern day version of it. For example:
There was once a boy that did not like going to school. Since he wanted to stay home, he pretended to be sick. His parents believed him, and took him to see the doctor. But when got there, they found out that he was not sick. They were angry, and the boy go to school. The next day, the boy pretended to be sick again. His parents took him to the doctor, and found out again that the boy was lying. They made him go to school again. On the third day, the boy was really feeling sick! He told his parents that he was sick, but they did not believe him. The boy had to go to school even though he was feeling very sick.
