For your Unit 5 writing assignment, you are going to write a paragraph about if driving a new car is important. Be sure to follow the basic paragraph structure that you learned in Unit 1.
Paragraph Structure
Topic Sentence
- The main idea of your paragraph will be in this sentence. In this paragraph, your main idea should be if it is important to always drive a new car.
Supporting Sentences
- Explain your main point(s) from the topic sentence with support and examples. For example, explain your reasons for your opinion.
- Use as much description as possible with adjectives, adverbs and prepositional phrases.
- Try to use coordinators and transitions to connect your ideas and reasons.
Concluding Sentence
- A final sentence expressing how you feel about the subject.
