We use these phrases to talk about history.

  • Dinosaurs lived on Earth millions of years ago.
  • Dodos became extinct hundreds of years ago.

We always use the past tense verb to talk about the action that happened in the past. Here are some other interesting facts:

  • Man landed on the moon in 1969.
  • Pokemon Go came out in July 2016.
  • The first iPhone was released in 2007.
  • Dinosaurs became extinct around 65 million years ago.
  • NASA discovered 7 new Exoplanets in 2017.
