Presente continuo

We use the present continuous to talk about what is happening now.
Kita menggunakan Present Continuous untuk berbicara tentang apa yang terjadi sekarang.

subject be present participle (verb + -ing)
I am watching television.
playing basketball.
talking to the president.
making cookies.
eating dinner.

He / She / It is
We are

VERB + “-ing” Just add “-ing” to verbs that end in two consonants or “-y” that is preceded by a consonant.
Tambahkan "-ing" untuk kata kerja yang berakhiran dua konsonan atau "-y" yang didahului oleh konsonan. 		catch → catching
talk → talking
sing → singing
study → studying
Verbs ending in “-e”
Kata kerja yang berakhiran "-e".		 If the verb ends in “-e”, take away the “-e” and add “-ing”.
Jika kata kerja yang berakhiran "-e", hilangkan "-e" dan tambahkan "-ing".		 write → writing
drive → driving
take → taking
Verbs ending in consonant + vowel + consonant
Kata kerja yang berakhiran dengan vokal dan konsonan 		If the word ends in a vowel and consonant we double the last consonant and add “-ing”.
Jika kata berakhiran vokal dan konsonan, kita gandakan konsonan terakhir dan tambahkan "-ing”. 		sit → sitting
hug → hugging
run → running
Exceptions / Pengecualian

Verbs that end with a vowel and w,x, or y
Kata kerja yang berakhiran "w","x", atau "y"		 The verbs that end in a vowel and “w, x or y” don’t double.
Kata kerja yang berakhiran vokal “w", "x" atau "y” tidak digandakan.		 sew → sewing
fix → fixing
play → playing
Verbs ending with two vowels and a consonant.
Kata kerja yang berakhiran dua vokal dan satu konsonan.		 If the verb ends in two vowels and a consonant, there is no change.
Jika kata kerja berakhiran dua vokal dan satu konsonan, tidak ada perubahan aturan.		 eat → eating
shout → shouting
sleep → sleeping
