description Exercise
Do you know what the International Space Station is? The International Space Station is in space. Many countries built the space station together. It is a big satellite in space. Satellites are very important.
Do you know what they do? They let us see the Earth from above. We can see if there are big fires. We can see if there are big storms. They tell us about the weather. We need them for our TV and internet. If we get lost, satellites help us find our way back. We use satellites every day.
Many astronauts go to space stations. They spend time there to study space. Astronauts learn more about space in space stations. There are places for them to sleep. There are places for them to eat. There are places for them to exercise.
It is hard to launch a rocket into space. Astronauts and rockets launch into space with a mission. They want to study a part of space.
Many scientists and astronauts have to work together. When the rocket and astronauts are ready, a countdown begins. The scientists start counting backwards. When the countdown gets to 0, the rocket lifts off!
After the lift off, we do not need parts of the rocket. These parts come off the rocket. We call it debris. Most of the time, the debris burns up in the atmosphere. This means it is broken by heat.
Do you want to go on a space mission? Astronauts will step onto new places. They will keep going to space. They will tell us new things they learned. We will know more about the solar system that we live in.
