The TOEFL ITP (Institutional Testing Program) is a version of the Paper-Based TOEFL (PBT) tests used to evaluate the English-language ability of non-native speakers. The TOEFL ITP does not provide an official test score that can be used for university admission, but instead offers test-takers an estimate of how well they may perform in a English university setting. It consists of the following sections:

Structure and Written Expression
The second section of the TOEFL ITP test is called Structure and Written Expression. This section has forty questions and you have 25 minutes to complete all of them. There are two types of questions in this section:
1. Structure (questions 1-15):
These questions require you to perform Sentence Completion. Each of the 15 sentences has a blank with a missing word and you must choose from four alternatives that might complete the sentence in a grammatically correct way. All four possible choices may seem grammatically correct, but are incorrect when considered in context.
2. Written Expression (questions 16-40):
These questions require you to perform Error Identification. You are presented with 25 complete sentences, but each contains one error. Four possible errors are underlined in the sentence and you must select the one which is contains the error. You do not need to correct the error for these sentences and should not waste time considering possible corrections.
