All superheroes have an origin story. They tell us how someone became a superhero. Some are human beings. Some are aliens. Everyone’s story is different.
Do you know Spider-Man’s origin story? His debut was in 1962. He was not born with powers. His real name is Peter Parker. He was bitten by a spider. It gave him special powers.
The spider was not a normal spider. It had been caught in a radiation test. The spider had special powers. He started feeling sick after the bite. He went to sleep to feel better.
When he woke up, he had special powers. He didn't need his glasses. His eyes worked perfectly. He could shoot webs from his hands. His body morphed. He was big and strong. He became a superhero!
Do you know Batman’s origin story? Batman was not born with powers. In fact, his name is not Batman. That is just his alias.
His real name is Bruce Wayne. He had a sad childhood. His parents were killed by a rogue criminal. He made it his goal to avenge them.
Wayne was rich. He learned to fight. He learned to build great weapons. He used his money and skills to become a superhero.
Do you know Wonder Woman’s origin story? Wonder Woman was born with powers. She was born in a magical place.
She was made from clay by her mother, a queen. She was given life by Zeus, the god. She was given powers by the women in her home.
She left her home to help the people on Earth. She was sent to bring the message of peace.
Some superheroes are humans with special powers. Others are aliens sent from another planet. But all of their stories are interesting!
