All through history, children have been playing with toys. Some toys that we play with today are very different to toys that were popular in history. But some toys are very much the same! Playing is important. It is good for kids for several reasons:
- Play helps you learn cooperation and teamwork
- Play helps you develop both your mind and your body.
- Play helps you practice your creativity and helps you solve problems.

Choose one toy from the past. It can be one of these, or you can find one of your own. Write about the toy, then write about something similar that we play with today.
Then, think about the future. How will this toy change? For example, maybe in the past there were plain slides. Today, we have water slides. Maybe in the future, we will have space slides!
