Determiners can be used to make nouns specific. There are three different types of determiners that are commonly used.
Possessive Adjectives
These are adjectives that identify who a noun is related to or belongs to. The possessive adjective for each subject is:
Subject | Possessive Adjective |
I, you, he, she, it, we, they | my, your, his, her, its, our, their |
These possessive adjectives can be used instead of articles to make a noun more specific.
