A recipe explains how to cook something. A recipe usually tells about the ingredients and the directions for cooking.
- The ingredients of a recipe tells you all the foods that are inside the thing you are cooking. For example, the ingredients of a sandwich might be bread, cheese and tomato.
- The directions in a recipe tells you the steps to take to cook something. For example, the directions for making a sandwich will tell you the steps for making a sandwich.
Choose one of your favourite foods and write a recipe for it! You will have to make a list of all the ingredients and write the directions for how to make it.
