Bottle Planter

  1. Clean plastic bottle with cap
  2. Soil
  3. Seeds
  4. Googly eyes
  5. Small plate
  6. Thick tape

Steps

Before the class cut the plastic bottles in half and tape the edges. Place a few small holes in the bottom of the bottle.

In the class, give each child a prepared bottle.

Let them glue the caps and the googly eyes. Leave the bottles on the side to dry while you play a game or talk about plants with your class.

Give them some soil to put into their planters.

Give them some seeds to plant. Cover the seeds with more soil.

Place the planters on a tray or small plates and water them.

Step 7

Water them as they need, and watch them grow. You can grow any kind of plants you want with your class.
