Too & Enough
Too and enough are very popular words in English, but many students make mistakes using these words.

My pants are too small!

We don't have enough time!
Too
Too & So
Many students get confused between so and too.
So can be used with adjectives and is similar to very but has a stronger meaning:

I'm so hungry!

It's so cold today.
English speakers use too to mean "more than necessary". It usually has a negative meaning. It is also used to say that something is impossible.

I ate too much.

It's too heavy.

This food is too spicy for me to eat.
Too Much & Too Many
We often say too much with uncountable nouns and too many with countable nouns:

Don't drink too much beer tonight.

There are too many phones. I don't know which one to choose.
Way / Far / Much Too...
We often use the words way, far, and much before too to mean "a lot":

These shoes are much too big for me.

It's far too difficult.

There's way too much snow to drive.

This is good for me, but I think it's too big for you to wear.

Enough
Enough means sufficient. This means to have or be the necessary amount.

He is tall enough.

I'm old enough.
It is very popular in negative sentences:
- I'm not tall enough.
- I'm not old enough.
Often, we can make sentences with too to explain the same meaning as not enough:
- I'm not tall enough.
- I'm too short.
- I'm not old enough.
- I'm too young.

Word Placement
Enough comes after an adjective:
- This soup isn't warm enough.
- I'm not smart enough.
- Do you think this TV is big enough?
Enough comes before a noun:
- I don't have enough money.
- Do you have enough coffee?
- Did you eat enough food for breakfast?
