The eagle is a fast bird. It can descend quickly to catch its prey.
An owl is another hunter. Owls are nocturnal. Owls sleep during the day. Owls are awake during the night.
Owls have big eyes to help them see when it is dark. Owls have sharp eyes that see very well. They wake up at night to hunt. They like to eat small animals like mice.
Do you know how owls eat their food? Owls do not chew their food like we do. When they catch a mouse, they eat the mouse whole.
You might hear owls make a hoot sound. They hoot to show they are there. They hoot to warn other owls.
A hawk is a good hunter too. They are smaller than eagles. But they are still strong.
Hawks, eagles, and owls have big talons. They use them to catch animals. They are very sharp.
Vultures are large birds. They look scary. But they do not hunt for food.
They find animals that are already dead. They fly very high. They have good vision. They use it to find dead animals. When they find one, they fly down.
