Students work in groups of three to four and open the corresponding pages below. When it is a student's turn, he or she should read the situation and decide if it should be described in the First or Second Conditional. The student then asks the group a conditional question about the situation.
Imagine someone steals your flight computer:
Would you call the police if someone stole your flight computer?
- Monsoon comes to this part of the world soon.
- Summer isn't nice this year.
- You can't sleep tonight.
- You drop your business phone into a toilet.
- You want to get a flight this weekend.
- The weather is miserable tomorrow.
- You find a kite on the runway.
- You want to fly out tonight.
- Your country starts using Fahrenheit instead of Celsius next year.
- You go to the weather office this weekend and gather all weather information for your flight.
- Your flight computer starts talking to you.
- You are tired this afternoon.
- You find someone's passport on the aircraft.
- Your aircraft runs out of fuel today.
- The temperature drops below freezing tonight.
- You can fly.
