Look at the pictures and talk about things that are the same and things that are different in them.
What are some usual times for races?
Try to say them different ways to a partner.
- The race starts at three thirty pm.
- The race starts at half past three.
- The race starts at three thirty in the afternoon.

Now, open the exercise and listen to the short conversations as you answer the questions. When the exercise is completed, with a partner say the conversations out loud and change the times.
