There are many things that we have to ask permission for. This means asking someone if it's okay to do something. To ask permission, we use the words:
can | could | may |
When we are asking for permissions, we always ask questions. We can form these questions using:
request word + 'I' + verb |
We usually use the words 'can' and 'could' to talk to familiar people informally, like with friends and family.
