Do you ever hear people tell you, 'Don't play with your food!'? It looks like these food artists did not listen to that advice! These amazing artists use delicious food to create and design sculptures. Using just a piece of bread, a vegetable or even a cookie, these artists have learned to make unique art. But unlike paint or clay, some foods can spoil when left out for too long. This means that many food artists have to work very carefully...and quickly!

Christel Assante art

Christel Assante is a French artist. She uses delicate eggshells to create her sculptures. It takes her about three or four days to finish one egg! She uses goose eggs and puts a small lightbulb inside through a hole in the bottom.

Jim Victor art

Jim Victor is another food artist. He spends hours in very, very cold freezers with his butter. He turns the butter into horses, children, even cows! Butter is not the only food he works with. He has also sculpted with chocolate, cheese, fruits and vegetables!

James Parker art

James Parker has made some of the most amazing fruit and vegetable sculptures. Fruit and vegetable art has been popular in Asia for thousands of years and restaurants like to use this art to decorate their food dishes. Sometimes, the food art is more interesting than the food for eating!

Song Dong art

Song Dong is a Chinese artist. He created Biscuit City at a store in London. The art shows a typical city. It even has a stadium and a church! He used about 72,000 cookies to build this delicious city!

Tamás Balla art

Tamás Balla brings food to life in unique and very funny ways! He changes ordinary fruits and bread into strange stories and crazy faces! He is famous for creating characters and telling stories using food.

Keisuke Yamada

Keisuke Yamada from Japan turns bananas into beautiful art sculptures. The artist says, 'I often used to buy bananas for my mum, so there were a lot of bananas at home. One day, I was a little bored, so I began to carve out the face of a character in the fruit.' Now, he is a famous banana artist! And all because his mother loved to buy bananas.
