In an indirect question, the subject comes before the verb, not after it.
- What time is it?
- What is their CEO’s name?
- How old is the boss?
- Where are they?
- I don’t know what time it is.
- I don’t know what their CEO’s name is.
- I don’t know how old the boss is.
- Please tell me where they are.
In an indirect question, do not use the helping verb do.
- What does the bank want?
- What do the partners do?
- Who did you see?
- Where did our clients go?
- How did you get to LA?
- I don’t know what the bank wants.
- I don’t know what the partners do.
- Please tell me whom you saw.
- Tell me where our clients went.
- Tell me how you got to LA.
