1. Simple present tense = am / is / are + past participle
    • Active: Somebody cleans the office every day.
    • Passive: The office is cleaned every day.
  2. Simple past tense = was / were + past participle
    • Active: Somebody cleaned the office yesterday.
    • Passive: The office was cleaned yesterday.
  3. Present continuous tense = am / is / are being + past participle
    • Active: Somebody is cleaning the office right now.
    • Passive: The office is being cleaned right now.
  4. Past continuous tense = was / were being + past participle
    • Active: Somebody was cleaning the office when Ι got there.
    • Passive: The office was being cleaned when Ι got there.
  5. Present perfect tense = has / have been + past participle
    • Active: The office looks better. Somebody has cleaned it.
    • Passive: The office looks better. Ιt has been cleaned.
  6. Past perfect tense = had been + past participle
    • Active: The office looked much better. Somebody had cleaned it.
    • Passive: The office looked much better. Ιt had been cleaned.
