Positive Form
肯定形式		 Singular → there is
Plural → there are*		 There is a dog.
有一只狗。
There is a house.
有一幢房子。
There is a hospital.
有一所医院。
There are two dogs.
有两只狗。
There are four houses.
有四幢房子。
There are 100 people.
有100个人。
Contraction Form
缩写形式		 there is → there’s
there are → there are*		 There’s an iPad on the table.
There’s an antenna on the ground.
There’s a big problem.

* “there are” does not have a contraction form.
“There are”没有缩写形式。
