Transitions
Transitions are words used between sentences or paragraphs.
Transitions indicate to the reader that you (the writer) are preparing to present new information. The new information may be related or unrelated to the past information and transitions can help us know the relationship between the two pieces of information. Here are some commonly used transitions:
Addition
To make an addition to previous information / giving more examples / continuing the same thoughts: too (comes at end of sentence), moreover, in addition, also, as well
- Video games are popular with teenagers. They are popular with adults too.
- Video games are popular with teenagers. Moreover, they are popular with adults.
