There are many ways to complete a debate. It generally consists of two sides arguing opposing views of the same topic. Each side gets to argue their position and then they can have an opportunity to provide a rebuttal. A rebuttal is an explanation as to why the other person's argument is wrong. In order to complete a successful rebuttal you must be very knowledgeable about your topic. Understanding both sides or opinions of a topic and listening very closely during your partner's argument will help you have a successful rebuttal. In order to keep the debate short for class we will follow the following outline.
- Argument A: 3 min → → Rebuttal A: 2 min
- Argument B: 3 min → → Rebuttal B: 2 min
