Get into groups and get out the notes you took on Animal Farm for Chapters 5-7. Go through your notes and discuss them in great detail, being sure to add to your own notes if needed. Try to consider the following questions as you talk:
- What messages do you see in this section of the novel? Is there something the author is trying to teach us about?
- The society on the farm slowly begins to collapse. What basic human characteristics make such a collapse inevitable? Could it have been avoided?
- What would you predict will happen next in the story? What do you hope will happen?
