| Verbs that end with the vowel "-e", add just "-d". Kata kerja yang diakhiri dengan vokal "-e", tambahkan saja "-d". |
like → liked dance → danced love → loved hate → hated |
| Vowel + Consonant, double the consonant and add “-ed”. Vokal + konsonan, gandakan konsonan kemudian tambahkan “-ed”. |
hug → hugged plan → planned |
| Exceptions: “w, x, y” Pengecualian: "w, x, y" |
row → rowed fix → fixed play → played |
| Verbs that end with a consonant and “-y”, remove the “-y” and add “-ied”. Kata kerja yang berakhiran konsonan dan "-y", hilangkan "-y" dan tambahkan "-ied". |
apply → applied study → studied cry → cried |
| Verbs that end with a vowel + "-y", just add "-ed". Kata kerja yang diakhiri dengan vokal + "-y", tambahkan saja "-ed". |
