Objectives & Sequence: This activity is intended to be used as a review of Grammar 4-2.
- Students work with a partner. Each partner opens the corresponding tab.
- Students are to make sentences about the relationships as illustrated by the tree diagram.
- On each tab, students are presented with five subjects. For each of these subjects, students must ask their partner, "Whose car is ...?" Or “Which car’s _______ is …?” Partners reply by describing the person's relationship(s) with other subjects.
- Suggested answers are provided in the form of audio recordings and blurred textual answers.
Example
On Student One's page:
- Student One asks, "What car’s mileage is this?"
- Student Two looks at the tree diagram and describes the car(s). Then, he replies, "This mileage is the Lamborghini's.” “This mileage is the Ferrari's.” or “This mileage is the Lamborghini's and the Ferrari's.” (both the Lamborghini and the Ferrari have the same mileage)
- Student One then plays the audio recording. Students listen to check that the answer is correct.
