Regular Verbs
In the past tense, a regular verb has “-ed” added to the base verb.
- Look → Looked
- Play → Played
- Jump → Jumped
- Cry → Cried
- Cook → Cooked
- Wash → Washed
Irregular Verbs
These verbs are special cases that have different past tense and past participle forms.
- Eat → Ate
- See → Saw
- Have → Had
- Drink → Drank
- Think → Thought
- Swim Swam
