1. Students work in pairs with one group of three being okay as well.
  2. Student pairs are to practice four different role plays, using Unit Nine vocabulary. In each role play, there is a Student One page, and Student Two page. First, students open the corresponding pages for the first role play.
  3. On each page, students are presented with the situation they should perform as well as two vocabulary words they must use in their half of the dialogue.
  4. When finished, students go to the next role play. Each one should last about 1 to 2 minutes in duration.
  5. There is a Grammar speaking activity in this unit that can be done in conjunction with Vocabulary Role Plays.

*Note: If time allows, rather than having students create the role plays on the spot, they could prepare them together by making a document together. To do this, one student goes into their documents, makes a new document, and then shares it with their partner. Students can first work together writing their dialogue. When ready, students could practice their dialogues and perform them in front of the class.
