The TOEFL ITP (Institutional Testing Program) is a version of the Paper-Based TOEFL (PBT) tests used to evaluate the English-language ability of non-native speakers.  The TOEFL ITP does not provide an official test score that can be used for university admission, but instead offers test-takers an estimate of how well they may perform in an English university setting. All questions are in multiple-choice format, with four possible answers per question. The tests evaluate skills in three areas:

  • Listening Comprehension measures the ability to understand spoken English as it is used in colleges and universities.
  • Structure and Written Expression measures recognition of selected structural and grammatical points in standard written English.
  • Reading Comprehension measures the ability to read and understand academic reading material.

The TOEFL ITP consists of the following sections:

Listening Comprehension 50 Questions 35 minutes
Structure and Written Expression 40 Questions 25 minutes
Reading Comprehension 50 Questions 55 minutes

This TOEFL125 ITP course is computer-based and you will be doing all of the Listening, Grammar, and Reading lessons, exercises, and quizzes using your own computer or tablet device.  It is important to remember that that actual exam will be delivered entirely on paper and you will need to enter your answers on an answer sheet as you do the test.  This course will still follow the basics of the TOEFL ITP exam and cover all of the most important sections and skills necessary to do well on the test.
