The present simple is used to talk about habits, routines and facts.
Present Simpe digunakan untuk membicarakan tentang kebiasaan, rutinitas, dan fakta.

* In English we ALWAYS need a subject with the verb in the simple present.

Third Person singular Rules (HE/SHE/IT)

Aturan untuk kata ganti orang ketiga tunggal

  • Add “-s” at the end of most verbs.
    Tambahkan "-s" pada akhir kata kerja.
    • run / walk / sing
      berlari / berjalan / menyanyi
      • he runs
      • she walks
      • it sings
  • Add “-es” at the end of verbs that end with -ch/ -sh / -o / -x / -s.
    Tambahkan "-es" pada akhir kata kerja yang berakhiran -ch/ -sh/ -o/ -x/ -s.
    • teach / wash / go / fix / kiss
      mengajar / mencuci / memperbaiki / mencium
      • He → teaches
      • She → washes
      • It → goes fixes
      • kisses
  • Add “-ies” at the end of verbs that end with a consonant and “y”.
    Tambahkan "-ies" pada akhir kata kerja yang berakhiran dengan konsonan dan "y".
    • fly / cry / marry / fry
      terbang / menangis / menggoreng
      • He → flies
      • She → cries
      • It → marries fries
