Tonight, I've got English homework to do. We have to finish a couple of chapters of the novel we're reading in my class. If I don't do it, I'll be in trouble tomorrow during class. My teacher checks every day if we've done our homework or not by giving us questions about the chapters to answer. It's late. I've got to go.

Homework? Tonight? Um, well, I'm in a school play, so I have to learn my lines, and unfortunately, my character has a lot of lines in the play. Our next practice isn't until next Thursday, so I guess I don't have to do anything tonight, but I'd better do it soon. I really must know my lines by Thursday.

Yeah, I've got homework to do this weekend. Actually, I've got a lot of homework to do this weekend. Let's see. First, I have to study for a math test I have on Monday. I'm pretty concerned about that. I don't think I'm going to do very well. After that, I've got to write about an author we're studying in my 19th century English literature class. I have to write 5,000 words about Charles Dickens and the impact he had on English literature. Have you ever heard of him? His most famous book is called Great Expectations.

My homework tonight is to draw. Now, I know what you're thinking, and no, I'm not 8 years old. You see, I'm studying illustration at college. Illustration basically means making drawings to describe a story. I want to be an illustrator for graphic novels one day. Graphic novels are books that have less writing and more pictures. Usually people think of superheroes like Batman or Superman when they think of graphic novels, but there are many other kinds of stories. So yeah, for homework tonight, I have to practice drawing faces in different styles.
