Many people like going to restaurants to eat. In this unit, you learned about many interesting foods and some crazy restaurants that people visit. Do you remember them? Here are some pictures of interesting restaurants around the world.
Now it's your turn! Imagine you can build the restaurant of your dreams. If you could design and make a restaurant any way you want, what would it look like? Think about how your restaurant would look. What would the chairs and tables be like? What colours would you use? What kinds of lights would you have? Here are some pictures to inspire you.
Don't forget the most important thing about your restaurant...the food! Even the most beautiful restaurant is useless if there is no food.
Design a menu for your restaurant and describe all the foods you will serve.
Include a description of every dish on the menu. Depending on the style of your restaurant, your menu will look very different. Check out these different menus.
First, complete the design activity telling about what your restaurant will look like, feel like, sound like and smell like! Draw or find pictures to show your design.
Then, create a menu to explain what kind of food you will have at your restaurant. Remember to describe the dishes and use the right kind of language and style to suit your restaurant.
Finally, find a partner and 'eat' at each other's restaurants! You will write reviews for each other's restaurants. Check our this example.

| This was an awesome restaurant! I loved the food and the crazy decorations. It was a bit weird that everyone working at the restaurant was a monkey. The monkeys weren't very good at bringing the food to the tables. But they were great to hang out with and the food (once it got to the table) was delicious. Super! | ||
