Conjunctions in Complex Sentences

  • Although he lived in Los Angeles for years, he never saw a famous person on the street.
  • He loved rock while his sister preferred hiphop.

Transitions

You can use howeveron the other handnevertheless, and still to show contrast.

  • She always dreamed of being a stunt driver. However, she was too nervous to go to driver's school.
  • People know that it is unhealthy to smoke; still they continue to do it.
