That's funny

There are a lot of cultural differences connected to humor. While humor is present in all human cultures and all humans have vocal (laughing) and behavioral (smiling) responses, some cultures have a more positive attitude toward humor. That is, some cultures think it’s a more important trait than others.

Is humor important in your culture(s)?

Are funny people thought to be more interesting than those who aren’t funny?

Are you a funny person in your language(s)?

Are you a funny person in English?

Do you like to watch comedies and/or stand-up comedians?

What differences have you noticed between humor in your culture and in the US?
