  • Is heating and cooling homes expensive in your country?
  • Do you ever think about your energy use? Do you think you use more or less than the average person?

Part Four: Taking it Further

With your partner(s), go online and research some programs similar to those in the reading in your local area. Find out what kind of rebates or incentives power companies in your area offer. If there are none, you can look at other areas near you or try to come up with some ideas of your own.

Share what you find or your ideas with the rest of the class. Compare all of the ideas and think about which ones are the best for the environment, which are the best for saving money, and which are the easiest for people to do.
