There are three ways we can end a sentence in English:

Period

This is used to end sentences that are statements:

I live in Sao Paulo.

Steve and Gilda are shopping for a new car.

The school is cleaned every evening.

Question Mark

This is used to end sentences that are questions:

Where is he going?

Who studies at that university?

Are you watching TV right now?

Exclamation Point

This is used for statements that show excitement, surprise, or anger:

She isn’t studying for her test!

My parents are buying me a new phone!

Your dog ate my homework!
