The TOEFL test has two different writing components, an independent essay and an integrated essay. This exercise focuses on the independent essay.
In the independent essay, you will read a question on the screen. It usually asks for your opinion about a topic. You will have 30 minutes to plan, write and revise your response. TOEFL graders value word count highly. A good essay will usually have 300-350 words. A clock on the screen will show you how much time you have left.
Open the attached writing prompt. Your teacher will time you in class, and then grade your essay later.
