Kids love stories. They are fun to hear. They are fun to tell.
Nursery rhymes are stories. They are for kids. They are short. They are simple.
Nursery rhymes rhyme. There are words that end the same. They are fun to say. They help kids to learn them.
Here is a famous one. It goes like this:
The itsy bitsy spider, Climbed up the waterspout. Down came the rain, And washed the spider out. Out came the sun, And dried up all the rain. And the itsy bitsy spider, Climbed up the spout again.
The song has little hand movements too. It is fun for kids to sing.
"Hey Diddle Diddle" is fun. It goes like this:
Hey diddle, diddle! The cat and the fiddle, The cow jumped over the moon; The little dog laughed To see such sport, And the dish ran away with the spoon.
How do you make a child fall asleep? You sing!
A lullaby is a song for kids. It is sung. It makes kids calm. It helps them fall asleep.
Kids love this one. It goes like this:
Twinkle, twinkle, little star, How I wonder what you are. Up above the world so high, Like a diamond in the sky. Twinkle, twinkle, little star, How I wonder what you are.
You have to use your brain for these next stories. They are called riddles.
