Talking About Experience

Use the present perfect to talk about something that happened in the past. The time can be a long time ago or quite recently.

Here are a few examples of using the present perfect to talk about experience.

Sometimes we use the present perfect to talk about connections between the past and the present. To do this, we use adverbs like:

  • yet
  • still
  • so
  • far
