Students work in pairs and open the corresponding pages below. On each page, students are presented with discussion questions that include phrasal verbs studied in Grammar 12-3. Students should discuss answers to the questions trying to use the phrasal verbs in their answers.

  3. Do you think it is more difficult for the pilot of an airplane to land or take off?
  4. If you won the lottery, would you use up all of the money in your life, or would you leave some for your children?
  5. Do you think doctors and scientists will ever come up with a way to stop cancer?
  6. Do you have a good memory or do you need to write things down?
  7. How long has this conversation gone on?
