Students work in groups of three to four and open the corresponding pages below. When it is a student's turn, he or she should read the situation and decide if it should be described in the First or Second Conditional. The student then asks the group a conditional question about the situation.
Imagine someone steals your computer:
Would you call the police if someone stole your computer?
- Drought comes to this part of the world soon.
- Summer isn't beautiful this year.
- You can't sleep tonight.
- You drop your phone into a toilet.
- You want to get a tan this weekend.
- The weather is miserable tomorrow.
- You find a kite on the train.
- You want to eat out tonight.
- Your country starts using Fahrenheit instead of Celsius next year.
- You go to Las Vegas this weekend and use up all of your money.
- Your computer starts talking to you.
- You are tired this afternoon.
- You find someone's passport on the bus.
- Your cell phone runs out of power today.
- The temperature drops below freezing tonight.
- You can fly.
