Another aspect of fiction is point of view. This is how the author narrates the story. This narrative might be different depending on the story. Traditionally, there are 3 points of view: first person, second person, and third person.

Third Person
Third person narrative is the most common point of view in fiction. This is when an author tells a story as if watching it happen. The author might be able to see into the minds of the characters or know about the future and past.
- Luke was a young boy who would grow to become a powerful man.
- (Here, it is as if we are watching the protagonist from a distance)
Second Person
Second person narrative is not very common in fiction. This point of view is as if the author is talking to you directly. This point of view is more common in poetry.
- You were a young boy who would grow to become a powerful man.”
- (Here, we are imagining the reader is the protagonist)
