Additional Ways to Use Gerunds

Now that we have learned the different ways in which gerunds are used, let's look at how to use gerunds in the perfect form, passive form, and with a possessive noun.


Gerunds in the Perfect Form

We use the Present Perfect to say that an action happened at a time in the past. However, the exact time is not important.

I have seen that movie a hundred times!

I think I have met her before.

There have been many earthquakes in Hawaii.
